OBJECT TERRITORIES was founded by partners Marcus Carter, Miranda Lee, and Michael Kokora.

MARCUS CARTER Marcus’ interests lie in the machinations of the contemporary urban environment as well as architecture’s catalytic potential in this climate. He has broad experience on projects in North America, Asia, and Europe including master plans, office & hotel towers, institutional buildings and residential projects. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas, studying in Rome during that time, and a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture. Marcus is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a registered architect in New York. He is an assistant professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and has previously taught at the Parsons School of Design, New York Institute of Technology, and Washington University.

MIRANDA LEE At OBJECT TERRITORIES, Miranda continues to expand her language in design through research and experiments with materials and production methodologies. She has worked in Japan, The Netherlands, and the United States and has been involved with projects across Asia and North America, across disciplines of master planning, architecture, and interior design. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York.

MICHAEL KOKORA Michael works collaboratively on projects through an iterative process using conceptual models, collages, and sketches. In addition to architectural projects, he is engaged in creating alternative visions for urban landscapes and large scale environmental projects. Michael is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong and teaches in the Architecture and Landscape Architecture programs. Prior to founding OBJECT TERRITORIES Michael worked on a wide range of project types in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Architecture degree from the Yale School of Architecture.
